My name is Howard Jacobs, I am the owner of Toodie's Fine Jewelry and I am a native of Quincy Massachusetts. I would like to start off by saying "Thank You" to everyone who has supported my company through the years and have helped to make Toodie's Fine Jewelry what it is today.

At age eighteen I first began my career in the jewelry business as an apprentice in a small jewelry store. One year later I opened my own store. I choose to name my store after my mother, Toodie Jacobs, who passed away in 1980. I was certified by the Gemological Institute of America in 1984. I am skilled in the art of designing jewelry based on each customer's individual needs. I enjoy donating my time to many charitable and Philanthropic organizations in the community.

Toodie's Fine Jewelry has grown in size, resources and sophistication over the years, thanks to you our customer. The mission of our company is to be your single-source for all fine jewelry and giftware.

My staff and I look forward to being of service to you, now and in the future.
TOODIE'S FINE JEWELRY EXPANSION & RENOVATION
ADDS "DAZZLING" ENHANCEMENT TO HISTORIC QUINCY CENTER

New selections and larger showroom enhance the heart of Quincy Center;
Staff maintains tradition of quality, affordable merchandise and first-class service

QUINCY, MA (November 4, 2004) - Howard "Howie" Jacobs, Owner of Toodie's Fine Jewelry, located in the heart of historic Quincy Center, is pleased to announce that he has just completed one of the most ambitious jewelry store re-designs ever to take place on Boston's South Shore. After a year of meticulous planning, the local landmark now touts a sophisticated exterior and an extraordinary in-store transformation.

Toodie's Fine Jewelry has built a reputation for specializing in fine jewelry, watches and giftware since its inception in downtown Quincy more than 22 years ago. The full-service jeweler also provides appraisals, custom settings and repair services.

The stylish and elegant additions include crimson awnings on the exterior of the building, which accentuate the sparkling pieces on display behind new, large picture windows. Residents passing by after sunset will notice a storefront that resembles a boutique on Boston's Newbury Street, as an LED-lit sign casts the store's name in silhouette across Hancock St.

Robert Dykman of RAD Construction Consultants, a Livingston, NJ-based company specializing in high-end jewelry store design, was responsible for the showroom redesign. The ceiling above the new 2,300-square-foot shopping area was raised from eight-feet to 11-feet tall and its carved curvatures gracefully follow the pattern formed by the custom display cases below. This newly designed showcase area has also been increased from 148-feet to 220-feet and features rich gold wallpaper, lush wall-to-wall carpeting and a new customer checkout area with solid granite countertops.

"Everything in the store is newly designed, from floor to ceiling," Jacobs said. "I did save a few items, including my jewelry workbench and stool, and my staff, which is irreplaceable!"

Jacobs also pointed out that the company's core values of total customer service and quality merchandise at affordable prices, also remain unchanged. "We offer a world-class shopping experience and treat each customer with respect and care," he added. "Whether they are looking for a $20 charm or a "once-in-a-lifetime" 10-carat diamond necklace, all customers are treated equally."
